how we are run

Stoke Citizens Advice Bureau is a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee constituted with Memoranda and Articles of Association. The organisation has existed in one form another since 1939 and settled into its present constitution in the late 1980s.

The staff and volunteer workers of Stoke CAB are managed by a group of service managers - the Management Team - who are lead by a Chief Executive. The Management Team jointly make day to day decisions about how to run the organisation in line with policy set by the Management Committee.

The Management Committee are the trustees of the Charity and are all volunteers. Most of the trustees are elected by the public at the Annual General Meeting of the Charity - a small number are co-opted to widen the skills and experience of the group.
