Stoke
CAB's mission is:
- To empower individuals and groups who suffer the effects of poverty to use, or create, the means
to improve both the quality and quantity of their lives
- To ensure that society as a whole, and policymakers in particular understand the nature of poverty,
and take steps to alleviate it
The aims of the Citizens Advice Bureaux service are:
- To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and
responsibilities or of the service available to them or through an inability to express their needs
effectively.
- To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally
and nationally.
The principles of the Citizens Advice Bureaux Service are:
- Free
- Confidential
- Impartial
- Independent
At Stoke
CAB we include an additional principle:
Our Service provides an impartial service of accurate information, guidance and support, free to
all individuals, and makes responsible use of the experience so gained.
