- 39,196 person contacts with the Bureau produced 88,368 requests for advice
- Help was given with £27,187,341 worth of debt
- £2.53 million worth of unclaimed welfare benefit was identified
- 770 complex multiple debt cases were opened for personal callers
- 981 people from Stoke received specialist debt casework by phone
- 203 people were represented at the County Court (up 43% on 2004/5)
- 250 people were helped to appeal decisions on their social security benefits
- 58 local people were recruited and trained as volunteer advisers
- 11 volunteers used our training and experience as a stepping stone into paid work
- Voluntary effort worth £433,450 was raised through the Bureau through its volunteer advisers, admin staff and Trustees.
- Secured Home Office Funding to develop advice to refugees
- Renewed our Big Lottery funding to continue working with Gypsies and Travellers
- Won a contract to give housing advice as part of the City Council’s homeless prevention strategy
